Clan Soda rules inside the channel - updated 12/16/09

If you fail to follow any rules after the first warning your access will be removed.

If you still purposely break these rules you will be timebanned, or s/listed.

- Rule #1: Do not abuse any glitches or bugs found in the bot. Do not spam or abuse any command! It is extremely serious when people start abusing/spamming .kick - please do not kick more than 5 people a day at max if you have enough access, after a warning if you use .kick * your access will be removed by someone with higher access.

- Rule #2: Do not pretend to be a channel moderator if you are not! Please do not impersonate anyone with access to Clan Soda or you will be s/listed.

- Rule #3: Only leaders or admins can timeban/shitlist! UPDATE: Please do not delete anyones shitlist unless you have spoken with a leader, or you shitlisted them yourself. They are shitlisted for a reason! If this becomes a problem I will make it so you need 950+ access.

Shitlisting should only be used as a last resort to protect our channel!!! Leaders/admins should only shitlist someone if they are trying to destroy the channel or the runs.

If you are not a leader/admin, and have enough access... ONLY if its an emergency you may use .ban to get rid of the person(s) hurting/destroying the channel, then report what happend to a leader as soon as possible!

- Rule #4: Respect everyone in the Clan and channel.

Please keep spamming bad words/cap lock to a minimum when talking in the channel, you should be warned at least once before receiving a timeban due to this.

Please don't beg for anything in the channel including trivia $ or anything else. There is a differnce between asking and begging, if you ask something more then once to the same person then it is considered begging.

- Rule #5: Do not grant anyone access unless you are an admin or leader (.leaders)

- Rule #6: When playing trivia the person with higher access chooses the category, if you have the same access, the decision goes to whoever was playing trivia first.

- Rule #7: Please do not spam other clan channels in Clan Soda, if it's a non clan channel then it doesn't matter.

- Rule #8: Please listen to any rules the runners who run in our channel tell you.

Topping runs without asking puts you at risk for being timebanned. If the runner is afk or doesn't answer your questions please use your common sense.

- Rule #9: Please do not login to 7up unless you are running your own runs. (for 7up. you can be hosting or joining games but you must first ask a leader/founder to login to 7up.)

- Rule #10: Please do not scam or go out of your way to be b****! Anyone who scams our members will be s/listed. Anyone in our clan accused of scamming anyone that is inside/outside the clan will be watched (if not confirmed) or s/listed if confirmed.

- Rule #11: If more than one leader agrees a member of the channel should be removed from the clan, they will be erased.

These rules may be changed by a Founder at any time.

FAQ:

Q: How do I join Clan Soda?

A: To apply to join please type .mail def (your message here).

You must also get one other member higher than Sunkist (member) to message me at the same time telling me that they approve of you joining.

You will start out as Sunkist (member) with 40 access. No tags are required on character names/accounts.

Q: When will my rank be upgraded?

A: Type .mail def (your message here) to request to be upgraded. It's all about trust. Your rank will be upgraded from Sunkist (member) to Sprite (mod) after a week of being in the clan and we realize you do not abuse any of your privileges, and can be respected. You will be given 50 access. If a leader mails me (.mail def (msg)) and says you are trustworthy for 60 you will be given 60.

- To be upgraded from Sprite (mod) to Amp (admin) you must remain respected in the clan for a long period of time (maybe up to 2-3 months) and become completly trusted. You will be given 70-170 access when an admin (start with 70, raised over time with the approval of me and at least one other leader).

-To be upgraded from Amp (admin) to Leader you must help the clan in many ways, maintain trust and be in the clan for a very long time, while still staying active. You will be able to pick your soda as your rank.

Founders rank: only *M2Vr-707 (Rich) *Def (Nate), and *SeXi (Wei) -- we formed the clan a year ago, without us there wouldn't be a Clan Soda.

- As your rank is promoted your access should be raised to the matching amount.

You may request to a leader/founder for your rank to be upgraded, just ask. Sometimes if you don't ask we may forget, otherwise we try our hardest and will upgrade your rank when we see you're respected enough and have been in the clan for the amount of time as said above.

Q: Sometimes it appears as I get the trivia question before someone else, but the other person gets it.

A: Your answers were so close that your answer appeared first on your screen due to a small amount of lag on your connection, but the other person really beat you.

Q: Why do some people in the channel have access but no greet?

A: They are trusted but are not exactly "in" the clan. They either run for the channel or are good friends.

Q: What if there is a password to one of the runs?

A: If the password is not SODA or the game number then it's private.

Q: Is the trivia money real money?

A: LOL, nope it's just your trivia score so you can show off : )

Q: Why are the bots laggy?

A: Either the queue has many messages to say at a time from so many commands at once which can be fixed by typing .cq or my bots have a poor connection/partly responsive bot.

.ban = 60 (Removes a user from the channel for the duration of the bot's role as a channel moderator.)

.block = 170 (Filters any incoming message from the specified user.)

.bmail/.mail = 20 (Stores a message for the specified user.)

Add a custom command to the bot 90+ access:

Admin/Leader banning commands:

.ban account (bans account until the bots rejoin the channel or someone unbans)

.shitlist account (perm ban unless manually removed)

Spam bot protection is now enabled (12/13/09)

Sunkist will now private the clan for 15 minutes if a flood is detected.

Spam Bot protection commands:

.floodreset (can be used to open the channel and reset the timer)

letmein (whisper only)
If the channel is locked, a user can whisper the bot any phrase containing (let me in) to have the channel open for only them to enter. Let me in, please let me in, letmein, etc..

All Stealthbot 2.7 commands not listed above are disabled.

Please play the trivia fairly. For example do not turn it off and on to make it go faster, do not steal trivia money from other accounts.
